Anthony Parnemann, regional manager for management systems, EFI says, “From EFI’s perspective our key objectives for the roadshow were education and awareness. EFI has always invested in education and workflow integration is a topic that is pertinent to printers. We also wanted to highlight that EFI has made a significant investment in the region through its acquisition of Prism and now has a local team of 32 providing support.”

The theme of the roadshow’s was thriving, not just surviving. Mark Campbell, independent business specialist spoke to printers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland about using technology to reduce the number of touchpoints between quote, production and invoice and how it was essential to remaining profitable in a competitive marketplace.

Campbell began his presentation by highlighting how many printers could achieve efficiencies and cost savings just by fully utilising their existing prepress software, he says, “When business owners and managers realise how much potential there is for productivity improvement just by better leveraging their systems, you can see the light come on.”

Campbell stressed that printers must take a strategic approach to improving their present business model and to developing new markets, but pointed out that successfully implementing change requires planning and an awareness of the pitfalls of introducing new technology.

Parnemann says, “We hope we’ve been able to show printers not only the benefits of improving end-to-end integration but also how to achieve it within their own businesses with the help of EFI’s productivity solutions.”
