Elsner says the new ENR Series automatic nonwoven wipes perforator rewinder offers users the opportunity to unwind, perforate, slit and rewind a set count of nonwoven product sheets per roll automatically. Two models are available in the series: the ENR-760 at 30 inches (760mm) wide, and the ENR-1000 at 42 inches (1060mm) wide.
THE ENR-760 will produce four seven inch (178mm) wide finished rolls per log at up to 15 logs per minute, which provides 60 finished rolls per minute. THE ENR-1000 will produce six seven inch (178mm) wide finished rolls per log at up to 15 logs per minute, providing 90 finished rolls per minute.
The web width range is from 12 inches to 40 inches (300mm-1000mm) and the maximum rewind diameter is 10 inches (250mm). THE ENR winds on a shaft and can handle the new, softer nonwoven products that could not previously be rewound on a purely coreless machine in widths over about 18 inches (457mm).
A touch screen operator interface allows quick set up and the machine is easily adjusted for slit width. The precision rotary shear perforator is servo controlled for infinite pitch length adjustment from six inches (150mm) to 24 inches (610mm). An off-the-floor lift unwind system features automatic edge guide and tension control for a 40 inch diameter maximum roll on a three inch ID core. Inline folding is also available.
THE ENR Series production rate of up to 15 logs a minute or 400 feet (122m) per minute translates to 90 finished rolls per minute with all functions performed in one compact, automatic machine. Elsner says fast set up and smooth operation provide higher productivity for the user.
