The array of special finishes available today is limited only by the imagination and are at a printer or finisher’s fingertips on the new Scodix Ultra 5000, says Currie Group product category manager – finishing Will Currie.
The speciality applications offered by the Scodix Ultra 5000, which is exclusively distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Currie Group, include Sense, Foil, Metallic, Glitter and Spot. Additionally, there is the option to expand to VDE, Cast&Cure, Braille and Crystal.
Designed for the growing high-end packaging market, the Scodix Ultra 5000 digital enhancement press supports rigid box and folding carton packaging applications, notes Currie.

The Scodix Ultra 5000 is the premium model in the popular Ultra 1000s range of Scodix digital enhancement presses, Currie adds. The range embraces sheet sizes up to B1 and
is compatible with digitally printed stock, whether that is toner, inkjet or HP Indigo ElectroInk – laminated and unlaminated, coated and uncoated. It is ideal for applications across a wide field, including packaging, commercial print, labels, brochures, book covers, folders, and greeting and business cards.
