Epson is opening the vault to the company’s range of large format solutions for its inaugural Large Format Product Expo.
The expo will be held on October 26 and 27 at Melbourne’s Eleven40 Studio, and will feature the company’s range of products in signage, photography, proofing, production, dye sublimation, direct to garment and technical printing.
The first stop of the expo will be a demonstration area specifically for the Epson SureColor Signage range. Epson will be providing live demonstrations of its flagship SureColor SC-S80600 that uses a nine or 10-colour ink set and has recently achieved Pantone certification, producing a guaranteed 96 per cent to 98 per cent Pantone coverage.
The SureColor SC-S80600 can be used with a range of media and prints to many applications including durable signage and POS displays, wall finishes, vehicle wraps, labels and decals.
Demo area number two will feature Epson’s SureColor Fabric range with demonstrations of the SC-F2000 direct to garment printer and the SC-F9200 dual head roll to roll dye sublimation printer, which can reach output speeds of 57 metres per hour.
Epson’s solutions for premium photo, fine art, poster and graphics production and proofing and packaging design applications take centre stage at demo area three.
The company says both the SureColor SC-P7070 and SC-P9070 proofing and packaging printers support a wide range of standard and specialist media in roll and sheet formats.
Epson adds, “Both printers also use the latest UltraChrome HDX all-pigment aqueous ink for accurate colour with an enhanced gamut, Dmax and image durability.
“The printers have a 10-colour ink configuration with two levels of black, a choice of a third black or alternative violet ink for outstanding colour and B&W prints with up to 99 per cent Pantone coverage.”
Also being demonstrated in this area is Epson’s SureColor Production range for the production poster and graphics segment, represented by the new SureColor SC-P10070 which the company markets as a high speed, cost effective and flexible solution for printing both colour and black-and-white images in a wide format.
Epson says, “With a nine-colour ink set including four levels of black, integrated high-speed auto cutter and options including automatic take-up unit (ATU), 320GB HDD and high-speed postscript module, the SureColor SC-P10070 produces durable, ultra-high resolution output with a platform that has proven dependability and is easy to maintain.
“The Production range is ideal for users who need to produce impactful POS/POP or low cost poster material.”
Also displayed in this area will be the SureLab SL-D700 commercial photo and photo merchandise printer. The SL-D700 is designed for low to medium volume production and features a TFP head that supports resolutions up to 1140 by 720 dpi using six colours and VSDT which Epson promises to provide an output with a broad gamut range and precise, adjustable colour density.
The final demo area is dedicated to the Epson SureColor Technical range designed to meet the needs of retail and business graphic printing.
According to Epson, the key feature of the range is the five-colour aqueous UltraChrome ink set which is fast drying and durable against abrasion and moisture damage.
Epson is inviting customers to attend the Large Format Product Expo anytime between 8am and 7pm on October 26 to 27 at the Eleven40 Studio in Malvern, Victoria.
Epson is planning to expand the expo to other capital cities in the near future.
