Epson has launched its new high speed large format range with its SureColor SC-P10070 and SureColor SC-P20070, which it says are capable of print speeds up to 105 square metres per hour. Epson says the new SureColor range has been targeted towards commercial printers, professional photographers, fine art and print service providers, and is ideal for a range of applications including large format poster, in-store signage, photo reproduction and display graphics. The company promises a number of SureColor’s added features will deliver a fast, cost-effective and limited wastage production platform.
New: The SureColor SC-P20070
The printers will use Epson’s PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead technology, combined with the new UltraChrome Pro ink set. The new head has an inbuilt sensing system, called Nozzle Verification Technology, which can detect nozzle blockages automatically without the need to eject ink. The printhead also comes with Matte and Photo Black channels, which the company says allow a fast interchange with zero ink loss. Epson promises the SureColor’s added media management system will enable high production speeds with superior print quality. It does so by tracking media as it moves through the printers feed and pressure rollers, which Epson says ensure consistent linearity. Commenting on the new range, Epson Australia business division general manager Craig Heckenberg says, “A lot of work went into the SC-P10070 and SC-P20070. These new machines not only deliver increased productivity, but superior print quality, and a reduced running cost. They are truly ground breaking machines and provide a formidable offering for the production print market.” The SureColor SC-P10070 is available now at $13,194.50, with the SureColor SC-P20070 to be made available in May at $16,494.50.
