Esko joins long-time gold sponsor sponsor Konica Minolta and bronze sponsor printIQ in supporting the annual peer-voted event which recognises printers and those working in print businesses for their leadership, innovation and approach to the craft.

The nomination window for this year’s Power 50 has now ended with the full list of 100 nominees to be printed in the upcoming October edition of ProPrint magazine.

“I saw this as an opportunity to support an industry that we have been involved with for over 30 years that is continuing to go through increasing amounts of diversification,” Esko regional marketing and channels manager, Scott Thompson, told Sprinter.

A panel of industry judges will vote online on the top 100 with the final Power 50 to be announced at a special evening event in Sydney on November 20. Auditing firm PKF will crunch the numbers to ensure a valid result.

Esko promoted its “Packaging Connected” approach at PrintEx19 while also demonstrating the benefits of the Kongsberg C24 Digital Finishing Solution.

Thompson says “Packaging Connected” is all about removing distances between consumers, retail and brands.

“Removing distances between the brand, the premedia house and the tradeshop, the printer and the converter. It’s about bringing everything into context and assuring a flow between the entire ecosystem,” he said.
