Event will help create communication solutions providers: PIAA

According to printing industries – Print 20//20 – a Vision for the Future – is an event based on the successful – Pinnacles of Print – event held in Western Australia earlier this year which attracted enormous interest and discussion.

The same keynote speaker, Andy McCourt, will feature at the Sydney event. McCourt’s 30-year career in the graphic arts has led to him being recognised as one of the industry’s leading commentators and researchers, according to the association.

Joe Kowalewski, national communication and technical services manager for Printing Industries says that it was important for industry companies to focus equally on both the technological and management aspects of their businesses since both could be profit drivers.

He says, “There are very few people like Andy with the local knowledge and experience able to pull these aspects together into a coherent and comprehensive presentation that will bring knowledge value to everyone that attends.”

Kowalewski continues, “He will examine the state of the local, national and international print markets, and explain the technologies that can benefit printers planning for their futures including the integration of Web-to-Print capability, how printers can use websites in direct marketing for their traditional print clients and how to take advantage of the growth in direct digital output.”

The presentation will also include:

  • Diversification of offerings – one workflow; multiple outputs
  • The print audit – make more profit by printing less
  • Total Business Flow Automation
  • Direct Marketing and Trans-promo myths exploded with Variable Data Printing
  • Data – not ink – is the lifeblood of the industry
  • 2012 – the year Digital printing exceeds Offset?
  • What your customers want; now, in 5 years and in 2020
  • Head-in-the-sand or head-held-high: your future, your choice
