FAB launches digital A4 PUR binder

Matthew Benn, managing director of FAB says, “The PUR binder is geared toward the digital market as it is low cost and for A4 only.  It will bind between 150 and 250 books an hour depending whether it is PUR or EVA. The rest of the Rigo PUR fleet is geared toward the A3 market as you can bind the long edge of A3 and up to 450mm from Spine to Fore-edge.”

According to Benn the new Lamibind 340 PUR binder or ‘baby PUR binder’ still has the uncompromised closed loop PUR binding system that its bigger family members have, but has a smaller footprint.

He says, “This allows for Hot-melt or PUR glue to be used in the same system without changing tanks; this is a distinct advantage for us over every competitor on the market. There is no changing of tanks to change from EVA/hot-melt to PUR – just put the PUR in and away you go.”

Peter Rigo (one of the owners) of the Rigo binder company will be at Pacprint to help raise awareness of their products and demonstrate their benefits at the same time.

FAB provides automated printing, finishing, binding and mailing equipment to the Australian market and has done so for the last three years, with brands such as James Burn, Watkiss Automation, KAS Paper Systems and MB Folding equipment.

At the last Australian print expo FAB brought the Value Wire-O bind machine from James Burn, which is its budget range of machinery.
