FESPA global head welcomes Australians to Amsterdam

The global head of FESPA has encouraged Australians attending the exhibition to create new business relationships and partnerships.

In an exclusive interview, head of the FESPA Global Print Expo, Michael Ryan, told Sprinter he was looking forward to welcoming Australian printers and suppliers to the Netherlands next week.

Ryan said the networking opportunities were one of the main reasons why Australians make the annual pilgrimage to the exhibition on the other side of the world.

“We welcome the Australian and New Zealand printers to FESPA – they always bring an enthusiasm to the industry and to Club FESPA,” he said.

“We encourage everyone who attends to make an effort to unite the industry and make global connections. It will take your business forward and allow you to learn from fellow printers. Every year, we hear of printers experiencing ‘serendipitous moments’ where they get the chance to meet with someone for the first time and from that they create something incredible together.

“The world is an incredibly small place now and everyone is facing the same challenges these days. We know expenditure is going up and there are material shortages and supply chain challenges. We guarantee that you will find like-minded people at FESPA,” Ryan said.

“I am also excited to see new members joining FESPA Australia every day – including printing organisations as well as companies such as Epson that I have noticed recently joined in the last week. I am following with envy all of the FESPA BBQs, conferences and events held in Australia as these develop invaluable industry connections.

“It is important to remember one of the most important aspects of FESPA – is that we represent the attendees of the show. This is actually an event of the printing industry that is designed for the printing industry – and not just the exhibition, but also the programs for the various conferences.

“We are encouraging everyone to please download the FESPA app – you won’t get lost and it also features your QR code and your badge as well as access to Club FESPA. It also contains the exhibitor profiles and the visitor profiles to assist with networking.

“We also have a new VIP Lounge which is for exhibitors who can invite their VIPs and this is in additional to Club FESPA.”
