The promotion of the FinalProof GxT was part of a combined exhibition with company Enovation Graphic Systems which added its extensive service and distribution network to Fujifilm’s expertise in colour proofing at the show.
In response to the growing demand for additional colour capabilities, the new FinalProof GxT uses advanced colour management technology and features extensive spot colour rendering, thanks to the addition of special red, blue, green and orange donors.
Additionally, silver metallic and opaque white donors are available for the specialty packaging and brand design markets and the FinalProof GxT allows lamination to actual printing stock and other substrates including foils, cartons, flexible bag and shrink sleeve material.
According to business manager for ink, blankets and flexo products at Enovation, Ted Schaffer, the FinalProof GxT is ideal for a range of flexographic printing applications.
“The enhancements offered by FinalProof GxT were designed specifically with the flexographic printing market in mind, opaque white and metallic donors, variable density, the expanded colour gamut and the ability to laminate to nearly any substrate,” he explains.
“FinalProof GxT is ideal for flexo printers because it allows them to show their customers exactly what the printed piece will look like on the press. It can actually be used to create product samples. No other proofing system offers this flexibility,” he says.
Fujifilm’s partner at Labelexpo, Enovation also exhibited the new PlateRite FX870 flexographic CTP imager from Screen USA. The PlateRite FX870 developed by the Media Technology Company of Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Co, takes advantage of technologies engineered into Screens’ PlateRite series of CTP devices for offset printing. It is a high performance CTP system that supports advanced digital flexo plates up to 76 x 87 cm enabling high-quality printing of labels, flexible packaging, corrugated cartons, as well as security printing.
