
He says, “The Flexcel NX allows print to produce high quality work at affordable prices. Effectively it enables what were seven, eight or nine colour jobs to be printed in four of five colours. It will hold a 0.4 per cent dot. Make readies are faster, achieving correct colour is 75 per cent faster, ink savings are 20-25 per cent. This all adds up to tremendous cost savings and increased productivity.”
Molnar says, “For brand owners there are big benefits, particularly in colour stability and repeatability, and of course printing with less colours delivers cost benefits.”
According to Molnar, the Flexcel NX will drag work back from Asia. The Kirk Group has become the first Aussie company to sign up for for Flexcel NX, with Molnar claiming another half dozen Australian packaging printers.
Ideal Solutions will also be selling the new Kodak Prinergy Powerpack v 6 in Australia. Molnar says, “The rules based automation of v 6 is leading the way to lights out prepress, it is eliminating mistakes and providing serious efficiencies. In addition the price point is significantly less expensive than competing products.”
