Four take top roles at IPMG

IPMG has appointed four executives to senior management roles as it expands its non-print operations and morphs into a marketing communications company.

Three of the new positions – chief commercial, strategy and operations officers – will have overall responsibility for the whole group and its many different companies.

The trio sit between top management and the heads of IPMG’s various print companies like Hannanprint and Offset Alpine, as well as its growing number of non-print outfits.

Chief executive Kevin Slaven says: “With the continuing growth and evolution of our group, these appointments will provide the structure to further enhance our ability to empower brands to connect.”

Kristie Atkins, former sales director of AHL, which includes Event Cinemas and Rydges Hotels, will start work as IPMG chief commercial officer at the end of September.

Slaven says she will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing activity of the group, providing direction and support across all businesses.

“Her primary focus will be on driving new revenue and delivering the strength of the group’s combined brands in a coordinated and appropriate manner to its target customer base,” he says.

The other two roles are filled by internal hires, with Benoit Droulez becoming chief strategy officer and fifth-generation Hannan family member James Hannan named chief operations officer.

Slaven says Droulez will oversee all aspects of the IPMG strategy with a focus on sustained revenue growth in an evolving marketing landscape.

He previously ran IPMG’s cross-channel campaign business Traction Digital and before that headed up digital strategy for the group.

Hannan began as COO at the beginning of last year after various roles within the group’s digital businesses, and his role has now been expanded to cover the whole of IPMG.

In the final appointment, veteran creative director Ben Shipley is appointed managing director of Spectrum, IPMG’s integrated communications agency, focused on public relations, social, creative and content.
