Fuji Xerox opens new RMIT print centre

By outsourcing its document services operations Fuji Xerox says the University has benefited from the introduction of more efficient printing technologies, business process improvements and the provision of end-to-end document services from design through to printing and distribution of paper and electronic documents.

The new Brunswick site and CBD customer service hub effectively replace the services offered by a former site in the CBD.

According to Steve Jordan, Victoria state manager, Fuji Xerox Australia, the Brunswick site, which is equipped with a Fuji Xerox Nuvera 288 production system and a Nuvera 144 production system, is much smaller than its CBD predecessor.

He says, “Using modern devices and workflow techniques, Fuji Xerox is able to provide the same capability and high standards of service with a smaller footprint, which reduces the University’s real estate overhead.”

The new print centre is on the same campus as the International Centre of Graphic Technology and Fuji Xerox says it is undertaking a number of initiatives includes training opportunities for students as part of their studies.
