Fuji Xerox to sell Fujifilm Acuity in Australia

Fuji Xerox will distribute Fujifilm’s Acuity range of wide format printers in Australia, though Fujifilm will continue to sell it direct in the same market.

The companies say the deal is to service the booming outdoor market and support commercial printers diversifying into it.

The agreement includes the sale of Acuity LED1600 Hybrid printers, Acuity Advance Select and Acuity Advance Select HS flatbed printers, as well as inks and associated consumables.

The move opens up a wider customer base for Fujifilm through Fuji Xerox’s significant presence in the small and medium business market and large on-ground sales force.

Fuji Xerox Australia spokeswoman Tatjana Ferguson says outdoor advertising is a rapidly growing industry, and a hard market to differentiate in.

She says printers looking to diversify and grow their businesses into the wide format sector ‘will give themselves that extra edge’ with the Fujifilm Acuity range.

“Print providers now also have the power to deliver quality at high speeds enabling them to free up time to take on additional work and grow revenue streams,” she says.

“The Acuity range supports business diversification and expansion by providing print providers with a one stop solution for their graphic print needs – high quality, creative outputs and cost savings all in the place.”

Ferguson says the Acuity Advance Select is designed for flexibility and to handle almost any sheet material.

“A compact roll-to-roll unit extends the versatility of this model, which produces high quality prints across every sheet. The Acuity Advance Select comes with up to eight colour channels including white and clear, suitable for a wide range of creative print applications,” she says.

She says the Acuity Advance Select HS brings together ‘speed and productivity, and it is equipped with up to six colour channels, including white and clear, suitable for printers demanding a faster production machine.

“The UV inks by Fujifilm incorporates Micro-V ultrafine dispersion technology to ‘maximise pigment loading – delivering strong, vibrant, lightfast colours with superior colour gamut.”

The Acuity will be on show at the Fuji Xerox stand at PrintEx15 in Sydney, May 13-15.
