Fujifilm BI brings two new presses to China Print; to launch at PacPrint

Fujifilm Business Innovation (BI) was at China Print in Beijing showcasing its new Revoria Press SC285 and Revoria Press EC2100, which will make their Australian debut at PacPrint next week.

Fujifilm BI graphic communications marketing deputy general manager Toshiaki Okada said, “what is special about these two machines is that the high print quality is the same as our flagship model.

“Even as mid-range machines, these units boast fast speeds and include a new generation of technology. They are five-colour machines, which present a wide gamut of colours.”

With the help of Super EA-Eco toner used in high-end models, both the Revoria Press SC285 and Revoria Press EC2100 enable users to experience high-quality CMYK printing and achieve shiny metallic colour and gloss.

Their compact high-quality LED print head can provide high-resolution output of up to 2,400dpi x 2,400 dpi to achieve high-definition printing with clear lines and images.

The Revoria Press EC2100 is compatible with a variety of papers, has post-processing functions, and is easy to operate. It features an automatic optimisation function using Revoria Flow, of neon pink toner to achieve a wider colour gamut.

It allows for high-speed printing of uncoated paper (52gsm to 400 gsm) and coated paper (72gsm to 400 gsm). Its A4 productivity is up to 100 pages/min, while its A3 print productivity is as high as 55 pages/min.

The Revoria Press SC285 supports a wide range of paper types and sizes, including various paper sizes as small as 90mm ×146 mm and as large as 330mm × 660 mm, and supports optional long paper printing (single-sided) up to 330mm × 1,300 mm.

From 52gsm thin paper to 400gsm thick paper, it can flexibly handle various gram weight media. In addition to printing a variety of exquisite materials, the machine also has various common business office functions such as copying and scanning.

Its production efficiency of A4 is up to 85 pages/min, while the production efficiency of A3 printing is as high as 47 pages/min.

Fujifilm BI also showcased its JetPress 750S and Revoria Press PC1120 machines at China Print.

The JetPress 750S is a digital inkjet B2 device that has a higher productivity of 3600 B2 sheets per hour and boasts two new features. The first: a new self-cleaning process of the print head called Overflow Cleaning that cleans the head while the press is in process or when the printhead assembly is in motion.

The second: a new Active Head Retraction (AHR) system that lifts the drum’s printing bars when paper deformation is detected (<3 mm) reducing the likelihood of paper jams caused by damaged paper.

With the latest generation of Samba printheads, it further improves the precision of point placement. The JetPress 750S printer also has the same extended colour gamut called ‘MaxGamut’ which, depending on the medium used, allows users to print up to 90 per cent of the Pantone library of 1,872 colours on a four-colour press.

“Quality is the number one feature of this machine, and its colour gamut is much better than offset presses. This machine also has the capability to compensate for any missing nozzles, so there aren’t any gaps or lines in prints. It is one of our most popular machines, with more than 350 units sold globally,” Okada said.

As for the Revoria Press PC1120, it is a six-colour machine that can achieve high-speed printing of 120 pages/min and an output resolution of 2400dpi × 2400 dpi. It also supports a wide range of paper: 52gsm of light paper, 400gsm of heavy paper, the minimum being 98mm × 148 mm and the highest being 330mm × 1200mm.
