Printers, industry figures and business and government representatives will share their expertise at the series of contingency planning seminars, which kicks off in Adelaide tonight and moves on to Perth tomorrow.
The Spotlight Sessions will be modelled on the ABC program Q&A, with GASAA executive officer Garry Knespal playing the part of Tony Jones and the panel explaining how to plan for sudden emergencies like natural disasters, lengthy staff absences or machinery failure.
The Adelaide panel will feature Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA) state manager Peter Mansfield, Enterprise Connect (EC) state director Amanda Wood, Business Continuity Institute (BCI) member Fay Millington and Bowden Print chief executive Jennifer Baile.
Perth's experts will be PIAA state manager Paul Nieuwhof, EC representatives Pia Turcinov and Wendy Were, BCI area representative Kenny Seow and Worldwide Online Printing state manager Neil Zaltsman.
GASAA is expecting the audience to contain a broad cross-section of the industry, including printers, suppliers and designers.
Knespal said the Spotlight Sessions would be free, concise and informal, so there was no excuse not to attend.
"This is not a boring PowerPoint event. This is an open forum of what can go wrong and how to plan for it," he said.
The sessions will run from 5.30-8.00pm and are being supported by funding from the Federal government's Enterprise Connect programme. Click here to register.
