GASAA goes Truly Green

According to GASAA, the six month certification course assists businesses in setting up an environmental management system in compliance with ISO14001 international standards.

Devised by Paul Kohn, a member of the ISO 14001 Standards Committee, the course allows companies to learn from each other in a group setting, an approach which has earned praise from the current crop of participants (pictured).

“Paul has done a great job in reviewing the potential risks of the specific sites, providing a unique profile for participants to monitor and improve,” said GASAA executive officer Garry Knespal.

After completing the course, participants must demonstrate continued improvement with regards to compliance over several months, before an independent GASAA auditor from Standards Australia is called in to conduct the final ISO certification.

More courses will commence in Brisbane on February 11 and in Melbourne on February 18, with a second Sydney course set to begin on February 20.

Further details about the program are available at the GASAA website.
