Geon chops more senior managers

Their departure comes just a fortnight after Geon chopped the role of New Zealand general manager, with Andrew Durrans leaving the company. As in New Zealand Geon will not be replacing the Aussie duo, instead their jobs will be subsumed into their management teams.

The company will save itself a not insignificant sum by not having the threesome in place, with more than $500,000 likely added to the bottom line as a result.

Graham Morgan, CEO, Geon says, “Geon is bigger that any one person and our business carries a strong team culture. Our focus on developing our people and nurturing talent means that Glen and Kim’s departure will be filled by the strong teams that we have beneath them. We are a united and determined team with great business around us.”

Morgan says, “Geon’s key strength is our people. Our senior management teams are absolutely capable to run our business on a day-to-day basis and remain focussed on achieving our revenue and growth goals.”

Geon says its three year growth plan has delivered operational improvements across the Eastern Seaboard with site consolidation, brand refresh, implementation of technology and a national management structure and that the operational improvements have delivered recent client wins and contract retention.

The change reflects Geon’s management structure across all sites in Australian and New Zealand.

“Geon has a plan and we will continue on it. At the end of the day we are a print and mail business in the middle of a peak trading period. Our focus is on doing what we do best which is producing and delivering quality products for our clients,” Morgan concludes.
