GMG and Kayell shout about wide applications for colour management

On the eve of the show, the Daily caught up with Garry Muratore, Oceania manager for GMG Australia, who was helping with preparations at the Kayell Australia stand, where the GMG product range is on show.

Muratore will be on hand throughout the show, giving Kayell customers some key advice on colour management, and the role GMG can play in their strategy.

After the show, he will head off to see customers in various markets throughout the region.

One of the critical trends he has identified is the rising demand for colour management by businesses running wide-format inkjet technologies.

“They start in their business, but then they realise that large-format inkjet needs to produce accurate colour no less than more traditional technologies, such as offset and production digital.

“They don’t see the need for managed colour on basic jobs, but when they get their first multi-site project, as for example, when the agency needs the posters in Australia to match those printed in New York, they become aware of the need for calibration.”

Muratore says GMG’s product portfolio is spread across a broad gamut of stands at PrintEx11, including Roland, Canon, Mimaki and HP, as well as Kayell.
