
HP’s Designjet Z6200, which was unveiled last September as a replacement for the Z6100, is capable of 140sqm per hour throughput and can produce photo-quality prints at 2,400dpi.
It uses HP Vivid Photo Inks, which are said to be extremely light-fast and offer a wider colour spectrum that makes them suitable for difficult photo printing tasks.
GMG’s ColorProof proofing software enables easy and consistent production of digital contract proofs. It is aimed at pre-press businesses and print shops operating in the illustration, catalogue, advertising and commercial print sectors.
GMG said the combination of its ColorProof software with HP’s Designjet Z6200 provided a fast, flexible and efficient production system for printing indoor graphics, including posters and POS material, as well as high quality proofing applications.
