The new Goss M-600 Folia press, first unveiled at drupa 2008, will take center stage in the form of a video presentation highlighting its capabilities and ongoing developments. Combining sheetfed and web concepts, the press with new sheeter technology delivers a new way to print a wide variety of coated stocks while doubling the productivity of sheetfed perfectors, according to Goss.
With the theme New Ways for Print, the company will also present the benefits of its web offset solutions for commercial and newspaper production including technologies such as Automatic Transfer, pinless folding, Autoplate, FPS, DigiRail digital inking and digital workflow technologies.
The company also says the environmental advantages of the latest Ecocool drying technology and the new Triliner technology for compact newspaper formats will be among the other features at the show.
Tim Mercy, Goss International’s vice president of commercial sales, Asia Pacific says, “PacPrint is a great opportunity for us to interact with our customers and to showcase products tailored for the Australasian market, including the 16-page M-600 commercial web press, the 24 to 96-page Sunday press series for both long and shorter run commercial publications or catalogs and wide format print applications.”
He continues, “The newly installed 80-page Sunday 4000 press at AIW Printing is a great example of how modern technology and automation has delivered competitive advantages.”
Meanwhile, Peter Kirwan, Goss vice president of newspaper sales, Asia Pacific summarized, “Our customers can also seek advice of our Goss Lifetime Support team to improve productivity and extend the competitive life of existing press equipment.”
He concludes, “Through audits, press rebuilds, upgrades and enhancements, a greater number of customers are keener than ever to get the very best out of their existing presses without having to invest in brand new press equipment.”
