Gulmen Machinery diversifies at PrintEx11

Eddie Gulmen, managing director and founder of Gulmen Engineering, says, “I believe it was a great decision for us to be involved in PrintEx11. We have been to other shows but this is much better. We have been very busy. I’ve always had a strong passion for machinery so it’s been great to be involved here.

“Our main business is premium level machinery. In the market, we offer a wide range of Gidue Flexo, Smag Graphique, Iwasaki machinery, from entry level up ad also APS inkjet systems.”

He adds that Gulmen Engineering has diversified its offering. He says, “We are excited about the digital Flexo from Gidue and the Smag digital finishing equipment. These days, due to the digital technology, you need a digital offline solution to basically die-cut and coat and add value to the printed material. The digital Flexo is designed to target short run work and if need be combine it with long.

“It is fully automated and automation is the key to profits. Where once operators would adjust the machines, now it is done automatically. That takes away human error and allows printers to target minimum waste and encourage simplicity in their operations. We are encouraging visitors to come and see us at our Melbourne plant or go online at www.gulmenengineering.com.au.”
