HAN restructures management team

Plummer (pictured), currently HAN’s general manager of marketing and product management, will move to Singapore in June to take over from retiring senior vice-president Jorgen Lund. HAN’s general manager of sales, Alistair Hadley, will expand his portfolio to encompass Plummer’s role.

A series of retirements at the company are also on the way, with manager of remarketed equipment David Irvine to bow out at the end of July and southern regional sales manager Shane Hanlon set to take over the post. In turn, John Kirkham will take over Hanlon’s position, whilst Lindsay Barnes will step up to become head of product management.

Product manager for post press and “Heidelberg veteran” Rudi Kolbach will also retire at the end of the year, with Brian Evans set to take over the position. Kolbach, however, will “continue in a support role based in Sydney after the handover”.

“The promotion of Glenn to Singapore and the flow-on appointments are a reflection of the investment HAN has made in developing staff and the commitment we make to succession planning,” said HAN managing director Andy Vels Jensen.

“Importantly we have covered all positions from within Heidelberg, giving our own in-house talent a go, while at the same time being able to lower our costs in response to the leaner environment we are all experiencing.”

“With downturns come opportunities for existing Heidelberg employees to step up and for others to move onto bigger and better jobs.”
