Hannapack installs Valmet sheeter

The Valmet TSK sheeter was first seen by managing director, Charles Hanna and his management team at the Ipex exhibition in England, last April 2002.

The Valmet TSK sheeter demonstrated at the Ipex exhibition was sheeting board on the stand, at close to full production speed. The dust free nature of the twin synchronous knife sheeting combined with excellent stacking quality caught the attention of the Hannapak delegation attending the event.

In order to meet the quality and production needs, the TSK sheeter was equipped with a double position shaft-less unwind stand, capable of handling reel diameters up to 2100mm (80″). A pressure type de-curler also ensured that the sheets contain the minimum of curl and automatic tension control provided sheet length tolerance better than +/- 0.5mm (0.020 ins). A 3 station heavy-duty slitting section also allowed the machine width of 1450mm (57″) to be fully utilised by running wide reels, slitting them in 2 and trimming the edges.

The twin synchronous cutting head produces the cleanest possible cut and a positive sheet tail control system provides reliable high-speed delivery. To maximise output, a fully automatic pallet change system was also included.
