HP digital lite kit goes to auction

All printers are
brand new in cartons, but are being sold to clear without warranty and to make
way for HP's new range. Bidding for all items starts at just $9, for printers
that in some cases were originally to be sold at $124,000.

Thirty-eight of
the presses are full-colour HP 9850mfps introduced in 2004 (and also marketed
as the Bertl award-winning Konica Minolta C500, using the same Simitri
Polymerised toner.)

The 9850mfp at 50
A4 colour pages per minute fits the 'production digital lite' sector of the
digital press market and will fit in any printshop, print-for-pay quick
printer, inplant, advertising agency, design studio.

They are even
suitable for proofing departments, since several are bundled with EFI's Fiery
S300 controller and a suite of EFI graphic arts tools including
spectrophotometer and ICC profiling software.

Others are
bundled with EFI's X3e embedded print controller for less mission-critical
colour. A total of $4.3 million of stock will be auctioned unreserved.

With maximum
sheet size of 330x483mm, the 9850mfp is a true A3+ machine. Some of the bundles
include 3,000 sheet finishers that staple, tri-fold, saddle-stitch, make
booklets, punch holes and insert sheets.

Monthly duty
cycle is a healthy 150,000 pages. There is no click charge – just buy
consumables, toner as you need to.

This GraysOnline
auction will give printers the opportunity to snap up a 50ppm, EFI colour-controlled
digital 'production lite' machine at low auction prices. The top configurations
with EFI Fiery S300s had ORPs (original selling price) of around $124,000.00 –
and all bidding starts at $9.

In addition to
the 38 x HP 9850mfps, GraysOnline is also clearing a range of accessories, RAM
upgrades, hard disks, toners etc also at
$9 starting prices.

To cap off the
'digital press auction of the year' there are two B&W production machines,
an 85ppm HP 9085mfp and a 55ppm HP 9055mfp – also starting at $9 each.

Interested parties
need to register with GraysOnline to bid and snap up a real HP digital colour
bargain. The sale preview will be online shortly and bidding commences October
8, ending on October 11.
