HP donates Designjet Z3200 to RMIT

The university has acquired presses from Canon, Fuji Xerox and Océ over the past year, with Robert Black, director of RMIT’s International Centre of Graphic Technology, saying he is delighted to add HP to the list.

“We are committed to expanding our digital printing teaching capabilities and remaining at the forefront of education in this sector,” said Black. “Donations like this assist us in meeting that mandate and ensuring both our teaching staff and our students get to work with industry standard equipment and technology.”

“It is tremendous to see the commitment of the industry as a whole to support RMIT and the practitioners of tomorrow,” said Shane Lucas, director of HP Graphic Arts South Pacific. “It is important that students gain an understanding of the entire digital workflow process. The HP Designjet Z3200 printer will assist them in proofing with the HP Indigo 5500 that was donated earlier this year by Currie Group, and in also generating high quality photo and display prints”.
