HP expands partnership with Photo Direct

Under the terms of the new agreement Photo Direct will offer HP's range of Retail Photo solutions to customers in Australia and New Zealand.

HP's Retail Photo Solutions provide retailers with the opportunity to differentiate their photo business by providing diversified photo printing services. The HP product range includes the HP Photosmart pe1000 Express Station, the HP Photosmart pm1000 Micro-Lab Printer and the HP Photo Centre.

Christoph Schell, vice president, general manager, Imaging & Printing and Consumer Group, Hewlett-Packard South Pacific says, "The approach taken by Photo Direct is aligned with HP in that it is focused on delivering solutions as opposed to simply selling product. This customer focused approach to doing business is what retailers require and expect and we look forward to a successful partnership."

Photo Direct provides photo retailers with a comprehensive range of equipment, services and consumables from domestic and international manufacturers. The company has provided sales and support for HP Silverwire commercial digital photography solutions and software since June 2006.

Tracy Lints, director at Photo Direct says, "HP is a clear leader in the imaging and printing sector with an extensive range of proven and innovative retail photo solutions. This partnership provides Photo Direct with an expanded offering of complementary solutions, which enables us to deliver greater value to existing customers and broaden our appeal to the marketplace."

Photo Direct was formed in 2005 and has locations in Melbourne and Auckland.
