HP has launched its new Latex FS50 series, and has made its Live Production features, announced at drupa, available.
The company said its new printer series, along with the industry-first Live Production showcases its commitment to enabling PSPs with the right tools to expand and scale large format print applications in an increasingly changing market.
The new HP Latex FS50 series aims to deliver exceptional results across a broad range of high-margin job applications, of up to 30 per cent wider gamut. These scalable printers are designed to grow with customer expectations, keep up with the latest technological advancements and tap into new business and revenue streams.
The HP Latex FS50 is ideal for large PSPs seeking efficiency in super wide format printing.
Offering a wide range of signage and décor applications, including thin films, vinyl, and odourless backlit textiles, both models ensure consistent colour and quality configurations.
The scalable platform of the HP Latex FS50 also allows for easy integration of future enhancements, while offering a longer lifespan and reduced environmental impact. With water-based odourless prints and no hazardous air pollutants, the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series meet environmental certifications.
The HP Latex FS50 is available in A/NZ. HP has also launched the FS60 Series, which a HP spokesperson has confirmed will be unavailable in A/NZ.
HPlarge format print product and strategy global director Oscar Vidal said, “We understand the importance of scalability and growth for high volume and long-run print service providers.
“With the introduction of the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series and the upcoming availability of the new features of Live Production software, we are expanding scalability to both hardware and software solutions. Our goal is to provide PSPs with the tools they need to achieve sustainable growth and thrive in an ever-changing market.”
As for HP’s Live Production software, it is a solution that empowers PSPs to remotely manage their printing workflow by controlling devices remotely and acting on their printer queue in real-time – both from desktop and the new mobile app.
Pickawall, an Australian removable wallpaper company and HP customer, explained that it needed better control over production, especially when printing unattended, and noted how valuable it would be to monitor printer status, perform remote actions, and receive ink notifications.
Built on robust data and real-time communication capabilities, the new features in Live Production enable the business to redefine print management and deliver a competitive advantage. The new functionalities for Live Production are now available, for users of HP Professional Print Service Plans.
“Adaptability is the key to supporting PSPs’ growth and profitability. Our new solutions enable PSPs to seamlessly adapt their workflows and equipment to the ever-changing landscape of their businesses,” Vidal said.
“By investing in innovations in hardware and software, PSPs can stay ahead of the curve in this technology-driven industry. This scalable platform, combining innovative hardware and software solutions, ensures that PSPs can make strategic investments, optimise their workflows, and drive profitability in an ever-changing market.”
