HP says new photo printer ideal for commercial environment

The company says the new printer is ideal for commercial printers, photo and fine art PSPs, and graphic designers. Jeremy Brew, market development manager, HP Designjet, South Pacific says the release is in response to the growing markets for high quality art prints.

He says, “This printer delivers on the high production values expected by professionals working in photography and other creative markets such as limited edition art prints. And its highly accurate proofing capabilities are ideal for commercial printing environments.”

Leveraging HP DreamColor technologies and an embedded spectrophotometer, users can achieve accurate colour matching and profiling and easily generate custom ICC profiles in-house to deliver print-to-print and printer-to-printer repeatability across a range of media, according to HP.

Also, the company adds an enhanced HP Colour Centre allows users to manage their paper presets; it simplifies workflows so users can easily access, create and share paper presets; and it enables productive operation and great ink efficiency with automatic servicing routines and optical drop detection to optimise the printer’s performance.

HP concludes, the Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer supports more than 50 original HP large-format printing materials, from photographic and digital fine art papers to coated and display-graphic materials.
