Supplied here by Fuji Xerox, and with the first installations already in the country Impika is a serious force in high speed inkjet.
With a footprint below 10sqm, a weight under 3.5 tons and a length below 10metres (including unwinder and rewinder), the iPrint Compact prints in two-up duplex mode, from 40 to 127mpm, with three possible resolutions (1200, 600 and 360 dpi) monochrome or colour volumes between two to 10 million A4. Aimed at transactional, transpromo, direct marketing and book publishing, Impika says it is competitively priced.
Aimed at the same market, the iPrint eVolution features speeds from 40mpm to 254mpm and printing quality from 360 to 1200 dpi and a new four-level 600×600 dpi printing mode.
The iPrint eXtreme has a 711 mm print width, a 375mpm colour printing speed (faster in monochrome) and a printing resolution up to 1200 dpi. Impika says this solution will bridge the gap between traditional and digital printing. In addition to printing, a number of compatible finishing functions are available such as cutting, folding. Applications include newspaper, commercial printing (B2 format for example), book and graphic arts.
Impika’s multi-format iController supplies data management for the three new iPrint models. Impkia says it is compatible with most servers on the market and can be resized according to needs.
Impika has also unveiled a new version of its iEngine 1000L, which prints on a width of 220 mm at speeds up to 150 mpm in colour and 800 mpm monochrome. The iEngine 1000L is autonomous and can be integrated into existing or new print or press equipment. Application is for variable data such as envelope printing, overprinting, hybrid print and security documents printing with special inks.
The company’s Genesis web to sheet printing concept produces A4 and US letter formats, in duplex colour up to 160 ppm, with a high quality (equivalent to more than 1000 dpi). Impika says this new solution constitutes a different market approach which foretells the arrival of a new range of printing solutions answering the new trend in trade for the mutualisation of transactional and direct mail markets among others. Impika is looking to collect feedback from potential users on its stand.
