
Other printers that produced winning catalogues across the 40 categories were PMP, Franklin Web and AIW Printing.
The annual awards were held at Melbourne’s Docklands on the evening of Monday 15 August.
David Jones took one major category, ‘Catalogue of the Year up to 1.5m copies’, for ‘The Summer Brand Book Twenty Ten’, printed by Offset Alpine while Freedom won the other,’Catalogue of the Year over 1.5m copies’, for ‘Autumn Collection 2011’, produced by Hannanprint.
Franklin Web scored five prizes, followed by PMP with four and AIW Printing with one.
ACA chief executive Ken Bishop said: “With more than 700 entries, the judges deliberated over a very strong field.
“It was a terrific evening and a fitting way to recognise both a milestone year for the association and some outstanding catalogues produced over the year.”
According to the ACA, the Australian catalogue industry is worth $1.5bn, accounting for around 60% of the nations’ total print advertising spend.
