It’s the finishing drupa says Simpson

Simpson says, “Anyone can produce an eight page brochure for a client, but those printers that are going to their clients and showing them how they can finish it are the ones winning good margin work, for instance we had a client quoting for a hotel brochure, they came back to the client and said how about creating it in the shape of a Do Not Disturb door handle hanger, it cost a bit more but the client loved it and they got the job.”

On the MBO stand, Simpson was pointing out the new finishing solution for inkjet webs, with a new book finishing line starting with a reel to sheeter and able to finish books in any size and thickness. He says, “Automation is key to productivity, especially in the digital printing market, and MBO is clearly meeting that need.”

A host of new solutions were on the MBO, H+H and Baumann booths, all of whom Ferrostaal represents in Australia, including the new MBO T960 folder, which folds A1 sheets to A4 at 20,000sph.

Also new is the H+H M840 pharmaceutical folder, which will fold a sheet down to a remarkable 18 folds, and a new H+H and Bograma die cutting and folding line which has a die changeover of just seven minutes.

Simpson was also showing the new Baumann System 2 automated cutting line, which has automated pile hoist, jogger and guillotine.
