Jadason shows latest version of B2 digital press

The manufacturer premiered the machine at Drupa 2008, but up until now has focused its sales efforts on its home territories in China and Japan. The company aims to ramp up European sales post-show.

Jadason managing director Kenneth Sung said that after establishing an installed base “in double figures” in the Far East, the firm was now ready to expand internationally.

“From the end of 2011 we decided to move forward with international shipments,” he said. “We don’t have a European installation yet but we hope to install this Drupa machine at a European customer after the show.”

The QPress costs €270,000. It has a resolution of 1,200×1,200dpi and handles paper up to 520x740mm in weights from 64-350gsm. Print speed for B2 sheets is 18ppm, or 60ppm for A3. It prints in four colours with the option of an additional special colour if required.
