As sales of their Kocher+Beck solid rotary dies increased, Jet Technologies acknowledged that a local resharpen and repair service was needed to support their customers. Mark Simpson, product manager for rotary tooling, Jet Technologies says, “It made no sense and was economically unviable to return each solid die to Kocher+Beck every time it was damaged or ran blunt.”
Jet Technologies worked closely with a Sydney based precision tool manufacturer to find a solution, and invested in the necessary equipment to be able to perform the tasks of repairing and resharpening solid rotary dies, with training supplied by Kocher+Beck USA.
David Reece, sales director, Jet Technologies says, “I’m happy with this new venture and it is already paying dividends. It has been welcomed with open arms by the clients using the service. With the possibility of repairing magnetic cylinders in the coming months Jet Technologies is certainly living up to its promise of providing an option for the Australian and New Zealand narrow web market by supplying the complete package of Rotary Tooling products and support. We are providing this service to help our customers get maximum value out of their K+B solid dies and providing a sharpening service by K+B locally trained engineers. Professional training was supplied by Kocher+Beck.”
