Heidelberg launches new ink range

The Saphira Excel Eco Ink range will be available from mid-March.

According to Heidelberg the Excel Ink is a colour intense, duct-fresh, fast setting process ink series which lives up to its environmentally friendly name as it is manufactured from renewable raw materials.

The ink is ISO accredited, and due to its strong pigments can save up to 10 per cent on general ink coverage for typical four-colour printed jobs. Combined with reduced ink usage, it requires less water and leads to quicker drying on straight-line or perfecting presses.

Wall says,  “We have one major contract signed up already, after positive trials, and customers at our other trial sites are all keen to switch to Saphira Excel.

“There’s no better endorsement for a new product than a major player wanting to commit to it before stocks are even in our warehouse. I expect this ink range to make significant inroads into our market,” Wall added.

Saphira Excel is made in Europe and is the latest addition to Heidelberg’s comprehensive consumables range.
