Shane Moroney, managing director, Kawana Signs told Australian Printer, “We have a high standard when it comes to producing signage. We have been working with high end retail department stores for the past 15 years, and the demands for fast production to meet tight deadlines was required. We needed a machine that could deliver a print quality that we have been accustomed to. The old process was timely and labour intensive. Moving to the Océ Arizona 550GT was an easy decision.”
Moroney says, “Dealing with Océ is a pleasure as is being a part of the Océ family. The two machines complete our state of the art factory, and are aligned with our laser cutter, CNC router, diamond edge polisher, and many other machines to produce all facets of signage.”
“Seeing the Arizona 550GT teamed up with the ProCut it made perfect sense to complete the package. Being able to do large quantities of high quality prints, and then cut to size or profile cut gives us the edge above competitors. Using the Arizona 550GT we are able to print direct to substrates during the day, and having the roll-to-roll option we can print all night.”
Moroney says, “Having the production capacity being lifted dramatically has opened Kawana up to the trade market, now supplying print, cut to size medias and substrates.”
Kawana Signs specialises in creating solutions in retail signage including department stores, boutiques to factory outlets. Wide format digital printing is at the forefront of the industry.
“We believe producing high quality signage to meet demands of our clients is the key to our success.” Moroney concludes.
