
The software is aimed at the commercial and packaging sector, with the offering said to enable “late-stage modification of production jobs, maintaining a complete history of the changes, preserving all file metadata, and exporting the elements back to Kodak Prinergy System after the editing process”.
“This software brings a new level of efficiency to commercial and package printers,” said Steve Miller, product manager in Kodak’s packaging and newspaper workflow division. “It’s important for our customers to be able to do more by utilising the tools they already have. This new and complementary solution addresses a common production need by leveraging the best graphic editing applications on the market.”
In other Kodak news, Mondi has announced that its Color Copy brand of laser paper has been qualified in 100, 160, and 300gsm for the Kodak NexPress Digital range.
“Color Copy is engineered for maximum performance on dry toner colour laser technologies, such as Kodak NexPress, so we are delighted to have received this qualification by Kodak,” said Mark Ushpol, sales and marketing director of Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper.
“It effectively illustrates that we remain at the forefront of technology and also shows that Color Copy has the perfect quality for high speed colour laser printing.”
The Rochester Institute of Technology printing applications laboratory handed Mondi the qualification on behalf of Kodak.
