Kodak highlights NexPress

Available in Australia from June, the SX3300 includes a new feeder which  allows 660mm sheets into the printer, meaning a six-up A4 sheet can be printed in one pass. Print size is around 620mm.

The SX3300 has a new ink technology, the HD set, with particles down from 8 micron to six micron, meaning finer quality, and it has a denser black.

Kodak also had its new Prinergy Connect v5.1, which incorporates database and layered PDF functionality.

Its Prepress portal 6.1 was shown, as was the ability of the software to automatically choose the optimum output unit and send the jod there, for instance a 100 sheet run job would go to the digital printer, while a 1000 run job would go to the CTP unit.

Kodak’s packaging solutions were also highlighted, including its Flexcel packaging software, and a new automated layout function.
