Kodak Versamark meets the need for speed

The Kodak Versamark VJ1000 Printing System, fitted with a Kodak Versamark CS300 System Controller, is a high-speed, variable-data printing solution for production printing environments. Kodak says the monochrome printing system with the CS300 controller provides AFP/IPDS workflow for seamless handling of legacy transactional documents. The system is available in two different configurations for simplex or duplex printing and runs at production speeds of up to 350fpm in its base configuration and is upgradeable to 500fpm.

Also launched is the Kodak Versamark VT3000 Printing System, which, combined with a Kodak Versamark CS400 System Controller, offers a high-speed, variable-data printing solution designed for maximum flexibility for a variety of high-volume variable data applications. The system is available in a wide range of configurations and is designed for upgradeability to allow for the changing business requirements of customers. The configuration selections include monochrome, spot, and process color models for 1-up or 2-up, simplex or duplex printing. The VT3000 runs at production speeds of up to 350fpm.

However, Kodak Versamark will hold off on releasing its new high-resolution, Kodak Versamark VX5000 Printing System until drupa. The system will be driven by the latest advancement in controller technology, the Kodak Versamark CS600 System Controller, a joint development with EFI that Kodak Versamark says delivers enhanced workflow and colour management capabilities.

Nachum “Homi” Shamir, Kodak Versamark president and CEO of and Kodak vice president, says, “As our new product lineup demonstrates, Kodak Versamark continues to advance the capabilities of digital printing technology. The growth of colour technology and the positive benefits that customers around the world are experiencing are amazing. I invite everyone to explore the possibilities of digital printing and the business results it can deliver.”
