Grant Thomas, product manager National Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia told Australian Printer, “This represents a strong position for Konica Minolta Australia, to be able to offer the KIP equipment along with our own products, creating a production solution across all paper size formats.”
Barry Grant, general manager, Anitech told Australian Printer “It is a reseller agreement which gives Konica Minolta access to the whole KIP range of products. We will give Konica Minolta support throughout the deal, and we are absolutely delighted with the agreement. It is a great opportunity for Anitech to work with a company like Konica Minolta.”
Konica Minolta will be offering two KIP models, the KIP C7800 high production colour print system and the 700M high speed wide format monochrome printer with colour scanning
Thomas says, “Both machines are aimed at commercial printers, PFP (print for pay), CRD’s (centralised reprographics departments), display graphic printers and large plan print facilities. We have already had some major interest from our existing customers that are involved in large print room facilities and PFP print operations.”
Thomas says, “The KIP C7800 has some major advantages over existing inkjet products, we expect to be able to leverage these advantages and have some focus and success with display graphic printers.”
Thomas says that wide format print offers major potential for existing customers of Konica Minolta and for new prospective customers, as new opportunities in print continue to grow in the larger size format.
“Other Konica Minolta companies, around the globe, have already established this opportunity into the wide format market, with the KIP range of products.” Thomas concludes.
