Konica Minolta sponsors breast cancer research

Konica Minolta Australia has reaffirmed its long-time partnership with the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) by sponsoring its 2016 Pink Lady Luncheon series across the country.

The BCNA luncheon series offers Australian breast cancer sufferers the opportunity to engage in a strong support network, and is the charity’s largest annual fundraiser for breast cancer research.

Konica began its sponsorship with BNCA in 2011 as part of its corporate social responsibility program. Its support includes donating employee time to the charity and offering free print equipment for all printing done at BNCA.

Dr David Cooke, managing director for Konica Minolta Australia, says, “BCNA provides tremendous support for Australians affected by breast cancer.  As one of our first foundation charity partners we are proud to provide ongoing support as BCNA and the Pink Lady luncheons go from strength to strength.”

“For many Konica Minolta employees, the connection with BCNA is personal. Internal fundraisers for the charity regularly occur, with speakers attending from BCNA that are in breast cancer remission.

They inspire employees and help increase understanding of how to support their family or friends that may be diagnosed or are undergoing treatment for breast cancer,” adds Cooke.

Remaining Pink Lady Luncheons in Australia are the Sydney event this Thursday, September 22 and in Melbourne on October 5. Those interested in attending can visit the BNCA website https://www.bcna.org.au/news-events/events/pink-lady-luncheon-series/
