Label Power has launched its low cost inkjet label printer, VIP Color VP700, which it says raises the ‘performance benchmark’, at Auspack currently taking place in Melbourne.
Label Power says the VIP Color VP700 is a digital print-on-demand colour label and tag printer, which lowers the cost of on demand colour label printing for all industries. James Malone Label Power managing director says Auspack 2015 is a significant event, and it allows the first public showing of the new VIP Color VP700 label and tag printer in Australia. Malone says, “With the addition of Bartender Labelling software by Seagull Scientific, printers have the ability to design and print full colour labels at high speed with variable data and barcoding.” He says the machine is powered by Memjet thermal inkjet technology and is capable of printing at a speed of 18 metres per minute or 304 mm per second. “This means you can print 100 full colour labels 100x150mm in less than one minute. The VP700 prints vibrant colour graphics and crisp text and barcodes up to 1600×1600 dpi in resolution,” Malone adds. The company says the VP700 has its roll unwinder incorporated into the steel body of the machine, which makes it compact and saves floor space. He says, “Memjet printer on the market, for long runs external 355mm OD unwinder and 355mm OD rewinders, are also available [for purchase].” The company, a leader in variable information printing, says the VP700 has a large LCD display making its user friendly, and also enables printers to print and present just one label at a time with the cut and present feature. Malone says, “The VP700 will print on a large number of media types, from paper to synthetic labels and tags with matt or gloss finishes. Even silver, gold and clear synthetic inkjet stocks are available from Label Power.” The company says the VP700 benefits include the ability to create any quantity of colour labels, low cost of ownership, eliminates the need for pre-printed label inventories, prints up-to-the-minute label data and avoids costly labelling errors and enables increased flexibility to meet labelling needs. Printers can visit Label Power at stand 208 at Auspack, held in Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is on now and ends March 27.
