LEP slashes brochure turnaround

Trade printer LEP has extended its next-day dispatch for one of its most popular products to meet demand from printers working to tighter deadlines.

Offset printed brochures on 150gsm stock ordered by 2pm seven days a week are now guaranteed next-day dispatch in what the company says is an industry first.

Next-day dispatch was offered for 10am but many regular clients could not get their orders in by then, so LEP trialled a 2pm deadline to see if it could meet courier times.

The company is now confident it can consistently get the work done in time due to improved efficiency in its operations, and is a full refund if the work is not dispatched on time.

LEP general manager Rob Walters says efforts to streamline operations are in direct response to printers facing ever tighter deadlines and expectations of higher quality and better service.

“We believe that nobody else is offering this service in offset. We’re offering a trade print service that is a direct result of our focus on driving efficiencies in the business, and the systems that we’ve established in both our facilities,” he says.

Walters says the demands placed on printers mean that trade printers are more popular and better equipped than they have been in the past.

The list of next-day dispatch products also includes premium 400gsm offset business cards, 150gsm and 250gsm DLs, brochures and flyers, as well as 90gsm and 100gsm bond stationery products up to a quantity of 10,000.
