LIA NSW hosts Penrith Museum of Printing evening with dinner & harness racing

The Lithographic Institute of Australia (NSW) invites the industry to attend a special event at the Penrith Museum of Printing which will be followed by a two-course dinner and a night of harness racing on Thursday October 20.

Members and guests will have the opportunity to experience all the museum has to offer with the museum’s president, Bob Lockley, and other members set to entertain the crowd with a demonstration of how printing was done in the last century or two – before offset came along.

“Bob Lockley, who is the President of the Museum and some other members will give a demo of how it was done in the last century or two, before Offset, producing HOT lines of type. They will cast then print your name on an 1864 Press at warp speed,” the LIA says.

“Bob will also give an update on the museum and how the future looks for this fascinating piece of history, “Preserving the Past for the Future”.

“Following, we will adjourn to the Paceway, which is on site for a dinner with live Harness Racing in the background, just to add a little atmosphere.”
