Local colour management body completes work on Aussie standards

The trio of standards for proofing, measurements methods and validation print with digital devices will join AU ISO 12647-2 for offset printing, which was launched in 2008.

The three new iterations will be adopted by Standards Australia in the coming months.

Luke Wooldridge, chairman of the Australian TC 130 committee, said: “These three ISO standards are part of the 12647 group and are designed to be implemented with each other in order to achieve optimal print quality.”

PIAA chief executive Bill Healey welcomed the news. “The decision enhances the link between the industry in Australia and the international printing community and is an excellent outcome for our Australian TC 130 committee members who committed a lot of time and research to make this achievement possible.”
