Longbeach running under licence

Michael Wu’s collapsed Victorian business Longbeach Printing continues to operate under an interim agreement which has kept the business running, while its liquidator attempts to wind up the company.

Timothy Holden from Formans Business Services was appointed last week and is keeping quiet about specific details of the company’s position due to the early stage of the liquidation.

However, he told Australian Printer this morning, “I am currently investigating a license agreement and that is all I am willing to comment on at this time.”

While Holden has not confirmed which company is running Longbeach, the intervention has allowed the Seaford business to continue operating with a skeleton staff after it was shut down on July 18.

Australian Printer has been unable to make contact with Longbeach general manager John De Groot, however a fellow staffer has advised he is still assisting the business and is currently working night shifts to keep it going.

The date for the first creditors meeting is expected to be released shortly.
