David Leach, CEO of Leichhardt-based Look Print says, “The Océ Arizona 550 GT gives us the ability to print very high quality images directly onto solid substrates, not just foamcore, but wood, glass and construction materials, and use white as a colour for the first time.
“It enables us to up the ante with our customer base by suggesting new approaches to the way they present their display graphics. The ability to print white, for instance, means we can print on coloured surfaces and gives us stronger impressions on clear or translucent backlit substrates.”
According to Look Print, the new ProCut cutting table has enabled the business to bring in-house an extended range of services for customers such as scoring, profile and forme cutting on materials up to 20mm thick and prototype packaging.
Leach also says that the environmental considerations of both products were important to Look, which has a high environmental responsibility profile.
He says, “The equipment is quiet, emits no ozone on the workplace floor, uses less energy than most other products of this size and, in an industry in which bigger is better is the norm, occupies a small physical footprint.”
Look has a blue chip customer base involved in the quality retail, cosmetic and high profile brand markets.
