Macaulay ditches sales roles at PIAA

New Printing Industries boss Andrew Macaulay has removed the roles of sales from PIAA headquarters, instead establishing member services staff.

Macaulay revealed the changes as his first action as new CEO following his national roadshow meeting with members across Australia.

“All of the field staff had titles such as sales manager or what have you – and I thought, we’re a member organisation and a services organisation, why would you talk about sales?,” says Macaulay.

“So on week one I changed their titles and focus to member services, which is more symbolic to what we are doing here.”

The PIAA also revealed controversial former general manager for sales and marketing Sandrine Dart – whose sacking of two Queensland staffers set off the train of events that led to mutiny in the ranks – has left the association. Dart joined the team whilst ex-CEO Jason Allen still held the reins.

Dart’s position will no longer exist, and is set to be replaced by two separate roles: membership services director and a marketing and communications manager.

Former Liberal senator Mary Jo Fisher has been appointed to assume the role of membership services director, set to be stationed in either Adelaide or Perth.

Macaulay will embark on his next Australia-wide mission next month as the PIAA holds a member committee meeting in each state and territory.
