MAN Ferrostaal says the centrepiece of the technology demonstration is the Roland 205E press, first released at drupa 2008, a highly advanced press with the smallest footprint of any press in its class. The 52 x 74 cm format press is only 2.9 metres wide, 2 metres high and just over 6 metres long for the five-colour model on display in Melbourne.
The R200E is ideal as either an entry-level machine or as an additional press that can be easily accommodated due to its small footprint and single person operation. Despite its compact size, the R200 still manages to pack in an impressive number of advanced features, according to MAN Ferrostaal.
The company also says that its print finishing portfolio features a range of equipment from manufacturers including MBO, Herzog and Heymann, Kolbus, Schnieder Senator, Purlux, Albo, Palamides and Hunkeler.
For high-precision paper cutting, the Melbourne showroom has the latest hydraulic-powered guillotine from Schneider Senator, the S-Line 115H. The S-Line guillotines (available in 115cm, 137cm and 155cm wide models) feature a solid cast-iron design, fully-automated computer control via colour touch screen, infra-red safety curtain, stainless steel air-table, central lubrication system and automated knife change at the front of the machine.
In folding, the MBO T800 folder on display is recognised as one of the fastest, most productive machines of its type on the market, according to MAN Ferrostaal. It features many of MBO’s patented features such as spiral rubber rollers for fast, gentle paper handling, VIVAS vacuum infeed and alignment system, the patented half-cone, half-ball high speed guides for mark-free sheet transfer, and, as shown in Melbourne, the continuous-feed Dualfeed loader.
The T800 model on display in Melbourne features a manual set-up while a fully-automated machine will be on display in MAN Ferrostaal’s Sydney showroom.
A new addition to the MAN Ferrostaal portfolio is the range of Mosca strapping devices. Mosca has one of the most extensive ranges of wrapping, strapping and conveying systems on the market and are known for their simple, trouble-free operation. The unit on display in Melbourne can strap a range of different bundle types at up to 30 straps per minute.
The showroom is designed to provide information and demonstrations of the consumable portfolio when used in conjunction with the equipment on display.
SHowroom phone number is (03) 9556 1800.
