Media Super supports ProPrint Emerging 50 again

Printing industry superannuation fund, Media Super, is again throwing its support behind the ProPrint Emerging 50 as Foundation Partner of the initiative which recognises the industry’s rising stars.

The Emerging 50 is designed to recognise members of the industry who have made a significant impact in their five years or less in the industry.

Emerging 50 recipients work in all areas of print including production, sales, graphic design, administration, finance, marketing, research and IT.

ProPrint launched the Emerging 50 in 2019 as a running mate for the long-running Power 50, which recognises the industry’s leaders, advocates and innovators, and is now in its 10th year of operation and again sponsored by Konica Minolta.

Nominations for the 2020 Power 50 and Emerging 50 will be opening soon

This year, The Real Media Collective is also partnering with the Emerging 50 to deliver a 12-month mentorship program to one lucky recipient.

Self-nominations for the Emerging 50 are welcome and employers are encouraged to nominate an employee whom they believe has made a significant impact.

All nominees will be invited to attend the annual Power 50 and Emerging 50 combined event in mid-November in Sydney.

Media Super Acting CEO Tony Griffin says, “We are delighted to continue our support of the ProPrint Emerging 50 as the Foundation Partner of the awards.

“Media Super is the industry super fund for print, media, entertainment and the arts, and is whole-heartedly committed to the recognition of professional excellence for our emerging industry leaders.

“We applaud the ProPrint team’s continuous improvement of the awards, this year incorporating a mentorship program with the objective of driving personal growth, building skills, knowledge and understanding.

“Given the challenges the industry faces today, it is more important than ever to invest in the leaders of tomorrow.”

Cactus Imaging and Visual Connections are also supporting the event.

The Emerging 50 mentorship is designed to develop, guide and support one member of the 2020 ProPrint Emerging 50.

It will offer the recipient the opportunity to learn more about the industry and parts of it they may be seeking a career within.

The program includes engagement with industry leaders, site tours and client introductions with each interaction tailored to suit the recipient’s interests and career objectives.

Nominations for the 2020 Emerging 50 will open soon.
